    Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist
    A big part of this year is learning about the Seven Sacraments. The Sacraments are special signs and celebrations that Jesus gave his church. You’ll discover how the church celebrates God’s love and forgiveness in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. You will explore the different parts of the Mass and learn how Jesus gives himself to us in the Eucharist.

    ​February- Unit 5 Morality

    Chapter 13 “Welcome in the Kingdom”
    This chapter explains Jesus’ teaching on the Kingdom and his desire for the Church to welcome and care for all people in his name.

    Chapter 14 “Share the Good News”
    This chapter teaches that we are all called as disciples to share the Good News of Jesus and that priests, deacons, and religious sisters and brothers serve the Church in many ways.

    Chapter 15 “Ways to Pray”
    This chapter explores the importance of prayer, the many ways we pray, and how we use sacramentals- sacred objects, actions, and words.

    February- First Reconciliation Chapters 5 & 6
    Chapter 5 “We Confess and Do Penance”  
    Chapter 6 “We are Forgiven and We Forgive”


    January - Unit 4 The Church

    Chapter 10 "The Sacraments"
    This chapter explains that Jesus shares his life with us in the Seven Sacraments. He welcomes, feeds, and heals us.

    Chapter 11 "Seek Forgiveness"
    This chapter explains how we celebrate the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation and how forgiveness heals people and relationships with God and the Church.

    Chapter 12 "The Church Year"
    This chapter explores how the seasons of the Church year celebrate the life, Death, Resurrection, and Ascension of Jesus.

    January- First Reconciliation Chapters 3 & 4
    Chapter 3 "We are Called for Forgiveness"
    Chapter 4 "We Come to Reconciliation"


    December- Unit 3 Jesus Christ
    Chapter 7 "God's Commandments"

    This chapter explains that the Ten Commandments teach us how to love God above all things and to love others. They are summed up in the Great Commandment.

    Chapter 8 "Choose to do Good"
    This chapter explains making good choices, the difference between a sin, a mistake, or an accident, and God’s willingness to forgive our sin.

    Chapter 9 "God's Mercy"
    This chapter explains God’s mercy and how important it is to show we are sorry and ask for the forgiveness of God and others.

    December- Chapters 1 & 2 Reconciliation

    Chapter 1 "We are made in God's Image"
    Chapter 2 "
    We Live in Covenant with God"


    November- Unit 2 Trinity
    Chapter 4 "God the Father"

    This chapter explores God the Father’s love and the importance of prayer to deepen our relationship with him.

    Chapter 5 "God the Son"
    This chapter explores the Holy Family and Jesus’ life on Earth.

    Chapter 6 "God the Holy Spirit"
    This chapter explains that Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to be our helper and guide.

    ​October- Unit 1 Revelation
    Chapter 1 "God's Gifts" 

    This chapter teaches about God’s gift of creation and the special place humans have in it because we are made in the image and likeness of God.

    Chapter 2 "God's Promise"
    This chapter introduces our need for Jesus, our Savior, who shows us the way to his Father.

    Chapter 3 "The Word of God"
    This chapter explains how the Old Testament and New Testament are the Bible, God’s inspired Word.
