Word of God in the Old Testament
This year you will be concentrating on the history of God's relationship with his People and the salvation that he has offered over the ages. You will recall that God is faithful and true to his People throughout history. You will become reacquainted with these people from the Bible, and you will have the chance to meet many new ones. You will learn more about God's Kingdom and his love for his People.

Chapter 10 "The Gospel Message"
This chapter recalls some of the images that describe the Church, presents the four Gospels, and examines the ways in which Jesus shared the Good News of salvation.

This chapter is about the appearance of the Risen Jesus, Pentecost, and the story of the early Church told in the Acts of the Apostles.
Chapter 12 "The Body of Christ"
This chapter identifies and explains the Marks of the Church and reflects on passages from the Epistles about the early Christian community.
December- Unit 3 Jesus Christ
Chapter 7 "Leader's for God's People"
This chapter examines the Israelites’ request for an earthly king, describes anointing to mark someone chosen by God for a special purpose, and shows how Jesus is the anointed One, our King of Kings.
Chapter 8 "The Wisdom of God"
This chapter defines wisdom as a gift from God that helps us understand the purpose and plan for our life, and explains how the Wisdom books in the Bible offer a guide for living.
Chapter 9 "Prophetic Promises"
This chapter teaches that Jesus is the Messiah, God’s promised one, and identifies prophets as messengers from God who speak the truth and call people to justice, and who are still needed today.

This chapter explains how prayer can deepen our faith, and help us trust in God during our journey, just as Abraham and Sarah did.

This chapter explains how God calls ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things, and describes the Exodus as the Israelites’ journey from slavery in Egypt to freedom.

This chapter teaches the Ten Commandments are laws meant to strengthen the relationship between God and his People, and explains Jesus’ New Commandment in relationship to them.

This chapter explains Divine Revelation and that the Bible reveals God’s plan of goodness and salvation for us, a plan fulfilled by Jesus.
Chapter 2 "The Creation Accounts"
This chapter explains what we learn from the two creation accounts. God alone is the Creator, all he made is good, and humans are made in his image and likeness.

This chapter teaches that, despite Original Sin and the ongoing struggle of humans tempted to sin, God establishes and remains faithful to his covenant, promising to always love and be there for us.
